Memorial Day Safety Tips

Here at SERVPRO of Northern Rhode Island, we never want to see anyone in our community ever get hurt. To ensure the well-being and safety during this Memorial Day weekend, be sure to adhere to the following safety tips:

Fire

  1. Never leave a grill unattended.
  2. Have a fire extinguisher handy.
  3. Clean of any excess grease.

Food

  1. Keep the food heated until it is finally served.
  2. Keep cold food on ice or refrigerated.
  3. Cover all dishes to keep insects and over animals away.

Sun

  1. Wear a hat and sunglasses.
  2. Use sunscreen with an appropriate SPF.
  3. Reapply sunscreen when swimming.

Travel

  1. Prepare your car for road trips.
  2. Plan your route ahead of time.
  3. NEVER drive after drinking!
