Hey Cranston - What is Personal Protective Equipment?
3/4/2020 (Permalink)
Personal Protective Equipment AKA PPE, is gear worn to protect our crews from any hazards they may come in contact with while on a job.
These hazards may include:
- Chemicals
- Bio Hazardous materials
- Mold
- Mechanical, electrical, and physical hazards
- Dust, pesticides, and other fumes
PPE can include gloves, safety glasses, shoes, hard hats, respirators, and full body suits!
It is important at SERVPRO of Northern Rhode Island that our employees are as safe as possible while working for our wonderful customers so we can get the job done right and efficiently.
Although it isn't the most fashionable outfit of the season, it is absolutely necessary in some situations.
Our crews work with sewage, mold, black water, chemicals and other hazards on a regular basis. Don't let it alarm you if you see them wearing PPE.
If your Central Falls home or business requires any mold, water, fire, sewage or other damage that requires professional care, call us at (401) 949-9955 any time, any day!
We'll make it "Like it never even happened."
