SERVPRO of Northern Rhode Island's Stormy and Blaze love the game of golf - if they weren't SERVPRO heroes, they probably would've been golfers!
SERVPRO of Northern Rhode Island is the Official Cleanup and Restoration Company of the PGA Tour, and we're really proud of that. Today we wanted to tell you a little backstory on Pro Golfer Nate Lashley. Most recently, he won his first PGA title.
Nick's story is an inspiring one. He's faced so much adversity but prevailed and continues to play golf and love the game. While playing golf, his parents and college sweetheart, Leslie flew down to see him. After the game, he saw his family, and then they left. The next day, he hadn't heard from his parents or girlfriend. A couple of days passed, with no word as to where they were, and he was getting worried. It was at this time that he received horrifying news. His parents and girlfriend died in a plane crash due to inclement weather conditions over the state of Wyoming.
Unable to really deal with the crash emotionally, he quit golfing in 2012 and got a job in commercial real estate. He realized he loved golfing and that he could not give up on it, so he began playing again.
SERVPRO supports the PGA Tour and admires the hard work and dedication of pro-golfers. Nate's story is just one of many inspiring stories of athletes who overcame challenging times and still remains a champion.
