SERVPRO Responds to Providence Fire

SERVPRO of Northern Rhode Island was recently called to Citizens Bank located at 1880 Mineral Spring Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island, for a soot damage cleanup.
On July 6th, the bank was threatened by a man who announced that he was robbing the bank. Upon doing so, he threatened a number of employees and set a cabinet, along with some paperwork, on fire. Officers responded and quickly put the man into custody, while the fire itself was extinguished immediately.
Although the damage to the building was not devastating, the bank still contained remnants of soot and smelled heavily of smoke, according to bank officials. This forced the officials to close the bank down for the rest of that remaining day.
SERVPRO of Northern Rhode Island received the call and acted immediately to remediate the situation. We understand that every hour spent restoring back to pre-fire condition is an hour of lost revenue and productivity. Our crews are currently on scene, working to get the bank employees back on their feet and make the situation, “Like it never even happened.”
