Carpeting Removed from Home's Stairs

SERVPRO of Northern Rhode Island was recently called to a home that experienced a water damage that made its way down the stairs of one of the floors. There was a strange smell eroding out of the carpeting and the homeowner decided that it was finally time to call SERVPRO and see what the odor could possibly be. When our crews arrived, they used moisture detection equipment to find out whether or not the water had made its way into the wood and wall. After collaborating with the homeowner, we determined that the best course of action was to remove the infected carpet and thoroughly dry out the area.
